The dress code at Kapalua Golf is casual and neat. Denim and khaki shorts or slacks are allowed, but no swimwear, cut-offs, tank tops, halter tops, bare midriffs, t-shirts, blue denim jeans, or clothes with suggestive printing or graphics. Zip-up sweaters, mock-neck shirts, and turtlenecks are welcome.

Dress code varied from sports coats and ties to golf wear. (the restaurant is located in the club house for the golf course). We wore slacks and sports shirts and fit in just fine. I did not see anyone in a collarless shirt though.
